Who’s behind Climate Shift?
For more than two decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of creativity, learning, and organizational change for clients including the London School of Economics, British Council, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Royal Opera House, The Tavistock Institute for Human Relations, and schools in the UK and Europe. I’ve worked across both the arts and sciences and bring this blended perspective to Climate Shift.
I started Climate Shift in response to my own climate anxiety and after discovering the work of climate psychologist Renee Lertzman and philosopher Timothy Morton, who in different ways encourage us to reconsider how we can live more authentically on a planet that knows no borders when it comes to ecological interconnectedness.
As a former science writer, I have a good grasp of climate science and keep abreast of the latest research. I also collaborate with artists, researchers, therapists, and others engaged in how we harness our emotions and values to drive more meaningful climate action.
Climate Shift is also driven by my love of the natural world, expressed through the photos on this website, all of places I’ve been fortunate enough to know. I hope future generations feel they can shape their lives in a way that values and protects such places and the wider planet on which we all depend. Climate Shift is my way of contributing to such a future.
